๐Ÿƒ IT Band Syndrome (Runner’s Outer Knee Pain) Sharp outer-knee pain in runners and cyclists - a compression overload treated with hip strength and gait work, not stretching. ๐Ÿฆด Stress Fractures (Bone Stress Injuries) Focal bone pain from overload - graded by site risk, healed with staged loading, and screened for the energy-availability causes behind it. ๐Ÿ€ Jumper’s Knee (Patellar Tendinopathy) Pain at the front of the knee just below the kneecap in jumping athletes - a tendon-capacity problem fixed by loading, not rest. ๐Ÿฆฟ Osgood-Schlatter Disease (Growing Athlete’s Knee) A painful bump below the knee in growing, active children - self-limiting, manageable, and almost never a reason to stop sport entirely. ๐Ÿฆถ Plantar Fasciitis Sharp first-step heel pain in the morning - highly treatable with loading, calf work and time; injections and surgery are rarely needed. ๐Ÿคš De Quervain’s Tenosynovitis (Thumb-Side Wrist Pain) Pain at the thumb side of the wrist, worst gripping and lifting - very treatable, and one where a steroid injection genuinely works well. ๐Ÿ‘† Trigger Finger (Stenosing Tenosynovitis) A finger that catches, clicks or locks when bending - treatable with splinting or injection, though diabetes changes the odds. ๐Ÿ’ช AC Joint Injury (Shoulder Separation) A separated shoulder from a fall or tackle - most grades recover fully with rehabilitation; only the severe ones need surgery. ๐Ÿšถ Greater Trochanteric Pain Syndrome (Lateral Hip Pain) Pain on the outer hip, worse lying on that side - it is a gluteal tendon problem, not "bursitis", and exercise beats injection long-term. ๐Ÿ– Wrist Sprains A wrist ligament injury from a fall - most heal well, but the priority is never missing a scaphoid fracture or serious ligament tear hiding behind "just a sprain".
