Neck Pain

Targeted care for neck stiffness, spasms and nerve-related pain.

Overview

Neck pain is increasingly common with desk work and screen time. It ranges from a stiff, achy neck to sharp pain with numbness travelling down the arm. Our orthopaedic and rehabilitation team relieves pain and, just as importantly, corrects the posture and movement patterns that cause it.

We treat postural strain, “text neck”, cervical disc problems and nerve-related pain.

How We Treat It

Frequently Asked Questions

Can posture really cause neck pain?

Yes. Prolonged forward-head posture loads the neck muscles and joints. Ergonomic changes plus targeted exercise are a core part of lasting relief.

Is tingling in my arm serious?

Tingling or numbness can indicate nerve involvement and should be assessed promptly, especially if it is worsening or affects grip strength.

When is surgery indicated for neck pain?

Almost never for ordinary mechanical neck pain. The genuine surgical situations are cervical myelopathy — spinal cord compression causing clumsy hands, unsteady walking or bladder changes — which needs prompt surgical referral, and nerve-root compression with progressive weakness or unrelenting arm pain despite 6–12 weeks of good conservative care. We screen for these at every visit and refer without delay when they appear.
